New Hair Trend?

I spotted a new trend today, and I think it will take the fashion world by storm. The creativity is so amazing, and the combinations are endless. It could be as dramatic or a subtle as you like.
Drew Barrymore was spotted wearing this trend at the Toronto International Film Festival. It looks like she put the tips of her blond hair into black hair dye, resulting in a creative look that she can totally pull off.
The thing that I love most about this look is that the possibilties can be anything. Brown with purple, Brown with blonde, Brown with Red, I think you get the idea.
The only thing is, the precsion might be hard to replicate yourself. Salon or at-home treatments? The decsion could go either way.
What do you think of this daring look? Would you ever consider it? Would you go to a salon to get this look, or do it yourself at home? Comment below!

Mourning Sally Girl Nail Colour-Curfew

Those were some pictures of my new favourite polish-Curfew. This is by Sally Girl, and almost all Sally Girl items are .99 cents (1.39 in Canada).

I am mourning this because I dropped it on the floor, and it broke. 20 minutes later, its all off the floor and I'm quite sad because it broke. I'm gonna have to buy another one!

So, on to the application. It's kinda thin, you can probably see parts where you can still see my nail through it. It took 3 or 4 thin coats to get this opaque. I think I used 3.

Its such a great polish. I have 5 (now 4) others, and I'll review those once I use them.

Sally Girl Nail Colours and the rest of the Sally Girl line is available at Sally Beauty Supply and online at www.sallybeauty.com

My MAC Wishlist

I've never shared this before, but I am a HUGE MAC cosmetics fan. I love their nail lacquers, and the whole 'look' of the brand.

I was looking at the website Temptalia, which has a lot of previews and things for upcoming collections, and thought I would share my wishlist for upcoming MAC collections.

Rose Romance:

Release Dates: April 23rd, 2009 (North America), May 2009 (International)

I'm loving the nail lacquer Love and Friendship:

The thing I adore about MAC nail lacquers are the price and colours. At only $11.00 USD and $13.00 CAD, it's a real steal. The bottles are cute as well, which is a bonus.

Next, the Just a pinch gel blush

It's like a cream cheek tint, looks very nice.

Lipstick in Way to love (far left):

I've never used a MAC lipstick before, so if someone could tell me if they are worthwhile buying, that'd be great!
The pigments look nice, but too bright blue and too dark purple for me.

Style Warriors Collection:
Release Dates: May 28th, 2009 (North America) and June 2009 (International)

Nail Lacquer in Violet Fire:

It looks like a sparkly bright purple, with a hint of metallic in it.

Thats it for the Style Warriors collection that intrests me. I know that some people will be all over the eyeshadows and pigments. They also have a leg spray in this collection.

I'm interested in the Slimshine Lipstick as well, it looks like a alternative to lip gloss and lipstick. All most like an in between.

Do you see anything that catches your eye in upcoming MAC collections?

Butter London's Earth Day Celebration

When I started this blog, I mentioned how much I love nail polish. Well, today I am posting a blog about nail polish!

Butter London makes nail lacquers in a wide-range of colours, ranging from the conservative nail gal to the wild nail fanatic. The company also has 3-Free polishes (no Formaldehyde, Toluene, or DBP).

In celebration of Earth Day, the company has a 5 for $40 sale. You can pick 5 nail lacquers for only $40 dollars. It looks like a great company, and since thats $70 dollars in savings, I think i'll take advantage of such a great offer.

I really like Artful Dodger, Muggins, Bezzie Mate, HRH, Queen Vic, and (I can't decide.. any help?!). I have no idea what those names mean... just going on colour swatches :)

Anyone else taking advantage of the amazing offer?
